SUMMARYThis paper presents some potentials of constructing knowledge of probability and statistics with the support of some dynamic interactive models. By using these models, high school students could approach to abstrast concepts with specific problems, then help them to develop observing and thinking abilities. The research has been done at grade 10 and grade 11 of Nho Quan B high school, Ninh Binh province. The results of the research have shown that Fathom dynamic interactive models create virtual environments for students to do “experimenting” so that they could find out some basic principles in probability and statistics. As a result, the students were able to actively constructing new knowledge on their own.Keywords: Teaching probability and statistics, constructivism, teaching model, dynamic interactive models.
